Hey,
my Name is Nkiruka. I believe in Jesus.
I am German and Nigerian, in the process of finding out how to navigate through both cultures I have inherited and becoming who I am called to be in Christ.
God laid on my heart to open a blog and to begin to write openly.
I am learning that thoughts matter.
I am learning that words matter.
I am learning that pain matters.
I am learning that every moment on this earth has eternal value.
I will write about different topics. Some blog posts will be in German, some will be in English. I will write about lessons I learned and I will write about challenges. Your responses and comments are welcome! I would love to learn from them and open a space for healing conversations. I pray that this will encourage both you and me to keep going, to become the best version of ourselves. Most of all I want to speak about the importance of walking in your calling and being who you are by expressing yourself through your thoughts, ideas and unspoken words, and thus attain the boldness to do what you see. I have found many hide behind masques and adapted conversations, too afraid to be who they are called to be because it is out of the norm, slowly decaying inwardly because of the weight of hidden potential inside them. I would love to speak truth. I would love to be transparent and honest.
There is power in your thoughts. There is power in your words. They reveal who you are. No one else can think and say them for you. You are gifting your environment with your expressed thoughts. I love how Bishop T.D. Jakes says in his book "Don't drop the mic - The power of your words can change the world" :
"Because words of truth always have the power to save us and set us free. We make a sacred offering when we're willing to speak truth. We receive a sacred gift when we're willing to listen" (p.11) .
Your thoughts are precious, your words have power to change circumstances. Your ability to listen and to respond allows you to grow. Communication is vital. It affects us when we cannot speak.
So let us begin by finding the words of our souls and the message we are called to speak to our environment!
I pray that this blog will be a blessing to you.
Enjoy!
My warmest regards,
Nkiruka
